ATOFIA is aimed and purposed to constantly innovate and produce cryptography that preserves, defends, and strengthens the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data across the USA's critical infrastructure, companies, communities, and citizenry.

Our Story
A friendship that began in the early 1990s became the foundation for a new approach to cryptography.
The co-founders met through family connections in the early 1990s. They worked together on a healthcare technology startup specializing in eligibility verification software, building a shared understanding of how technology could solve real-world problems.
They then pursued separate paths—one in private wealth management, the other in information security and threat intelligence. Nearly 25 years later, they reunited with a shared conviction: the way we protect data is fundamentally broken, and it's time to build something new.
Leadership
Marty Poe III
Co-founder & CEO
Marty has driven the company's strategic and technical direction since inception. He led the drafting and development of its cryptographic IP portfolio within a small, self-funded team, producing multiple issued patents.
Before ATOFIA, Marty spent over fifteen years in private wealth management, serving a single family office. He was responsible for long-term asset allocation across public and private markets and drove the evaluation of emerging technology investments for multi-generational capital.
Earlier, he co-founded a healthcare technology company that built networks enabling state Medicaid agencies to securely share patient eligibility information with providers. His experience spans capital stewardship, technology strategy, and operational leadership.
Dr. Richard White
Co-founder & CSO
Richard has served in various leadership positions at all levels within the information security and threat intelligence fields in his thirty plus year career. He oversees and directs the evolution and advancement of ATOFIA’s cybersecurity technologies.
Richard is a pioneering technologist in the field of keyless encryption, with multiple awarded patents and pending applications stemming from his research and development in the field of cryptography.
Before ATOFIA, Richard spent fourteen years with the Tennessee National Guard, specializing in network security, penetration testing, and advanced threat analysis. In the public sector, he has worked in the healthcare and transportation industry, gaining extensive expertise in Industrial Control Systems, SCADA, and network communications protocols.
